What we collect

If you send us a story: the text, the occasion, your relationship to the person, an optional budget band, and an optional first name. Nothing else — no account, no email address unless you write to us.

If you accept analytics: aggregate Google Analytics with IP anonymisation and a 14-month retention cap. We build no cross-site profiles. If you accept advertising: Google AdSense. Refusing either changes nothing about how the site works.

The Cookie Policy lists every stored value and its lifetime.

What happens to a story you send us

You keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us permission to publish it on this site and on our social channels — including as a rendered image card on Pinterest and Instagram — with your first name or anonymously, and to edit it for typos and length.

Ask us and we’ll remove it. Write to hello@occasionclub.com with enough detail to identify the story. We’ll take it off the site; cards already posted to social channels will be deleted too, though we can’t recall anything someone else has re-shared.

Don’t send us anything that isn’t yours to tell, and don’t identify other people by full name without their agreement. We remove links from every submission automatically.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL). Write to hello@occasionclub.com.

Terms

The stories here are personal accounts, published in good faith and moderated by a person, but they are other people’s experiences rather than advice. Nothing here is a recommendation that you buy anything.

Some pages carry advertising, and some links may earn us a commission. That never affects which stories appear. See how this pays for itself.

The site is provided as-is. TechStuff SARL isn’t liable for what you choose to buy or give.
